Cityside is seeking more broker participation in the listing of HUD homes in the state of Rhode Island. Our goal is to list every property with a HUD registered broker who is located within a reasonable proximity to the listed property.
Small, small-disadvantaged, minority-owned, and woman-owned businesses are encouraged to respond to this request.
There will be no listing fee associated with the listing of these properties, however, all listing brokers will be permitted to place their own (pre-approved) signage on the property that they list and earn and be paid a commission by HUD if they are the selling broker.
Scope of Work
- List each property with the appropriate local multiple listing service (MLS) within 24 hours of receipt of notification by Cityiside.
- Provide that selling brokers may receive up to 5% commission
- Provide that all properties contain the standard Fair Housing non-discrimination clause.
- Refer potential purchasers to Cityside’s Electronic Listing & Bidding Internet website (www.citysidecorp.com) for more information regarding:
Lead-Base Paint notification
Property Condition report
All required forms - Change property status in MLS as necessary.
- Place an approved for sale sign on the property within 48 hours of listing notification.
- Maintain and keep current all licenses (state and local) as required by law.
Instructions to Respondents
All brokers who are interested in participating in the listing of HUD properties in Rhode Island must send a letter to:

All responses must be received at the above address no later than December 31, 2008.
The response letter must include the following information only:
1. The name of the broker
2. Address and telephone number of the broker
3. Email address of the broker
4. A list of the Counties where the broker is willing to list*
*Note: All brokers must be a member of the appropriate MLS for all counties in which the broker is willing to list properties.
Cityside makes no guarantee that all respondents will be given an opportunity to list properties. Cityside will probably choose only one listing broker per county or parish. If multiple brokers respond with interest to list properties in the same county(ies) or parish(es); it is the sole discretion of Cityside to choose which broker will list Cityside’s HUD inventory in the appropriate MLS.
